Thanksgiving Party

Our friend Sara, super talented elementary school teacher turned stay at home mommy, planned a wonderful Thanksgiving party for our little ones. They did crafts, listened to Thanksgiving stories, did turkey dances, and enjoyed some fun Thanksgiving treats. All the children had such a fun time. Thanks so much for all that you planned for our kids, Sara!!

The great story-teller, Sara.

Zoe, giving a prayer of Thanksgiving. I think she was the only child bowing her head for the prayer. Sweet girl!

Trick-or-Treat

Audrey really loved her costume this Halloween. Ever since we went to 2 weddings this summer, she has talked a lot about wearing "a big white dress." She may even say something about "getting married" but when I asked her who she would marry, she said, "I wear a BIG WHITE DRESS." Clearly the most important thing. So when I saw this dress at a consignment sale I thought this would be the perfect costume for her this year. The little bride was all excited about getting to wear make-up and a ring and carrying flowers. The week before Halloween, she even began calling trick-or-treating her wedding. We went to Truck-or-Treat (which ended up being inside because of rain) on Friday night. Saturday, she was ready to dress up once again as we went a few more places to Trick-or-Treat. I think if we dress her as a bride every year, Eric might be used to the idea by the time it's for real!

Back Yard Photo Shoot

This past weekend Jaime and I had the goal of trying to get some Fall pictures of Audrey and Ethan together....well it's just not easy getting a 2 year old and 3 month old both happy and cooperative at the same time. Saturday, Grannie and Papa came to babysit while we all got to go to hang out with friends for a great Fall night around a camp fire. We tried some pictures before we left and ended up trying some more on Sunday. I don't think we quite got what we were looking for, but we did get some of them together. I should make a collage of all the bloopers, but I don't think Picasa would hold all of them. In the end each family got some good shots together. Maybe we'll have more luck with the kiddos for Christmas pictures. :)

Fall Happenings

Our Burning Bushes had turned almost completely red when we returned from vacation. When I was talking about how red they were, I think this prompted Audrey to want Elmo in the picture with her.
Eating ghost cookies.
Not for breakfast, just in PJs with bed-head-hair at lunch time.
Playing dress-up.
And more dress-up.
Hanging out with Grandpa.

BOUNCE!

For those of you who don't already know, we have started a new side business to do in all of our spare time (right!). The name of our business is Bounce Inflatables and Promotion. We have inflatable tents and bouncers available for rental for any fun occasion. A couple of weeks ago we received two new inflatables we had ordered. After Eric and I tried out the pirate ship ourselves, we woke Audrey up from her nap so she could play a while before time to head to church on Wednesday night. Last Tuesday we had an inspection for all of the inflatables to be approved for rental. Everything passed with flying colors. While they were all set up, it was a good time for a jumping party! I think all ages had a blast jumping and racing through the obstacle course.

We had a great night with friends, bouncing, eating chili and spending time together!

Happy 7th Birthday, Austin!!
